Goal of the training course

To provide participants with an understanding of the underlying principles and issues related to the development and delivery of a performance management approach in the organization.

Theme-based blocks.

  1. Fundamentals of the performance management system
    • Why performance needs to be assessed and who should be involved in this process in the organization
    • Performance assessment methodology.
    • Underlying issues arising during the delivery of the performance management assessment process.
    • The kinds of problems that may arise and the main methods for resolving them.
  2. Goal-setting
    • Identification of the Key Result Areas
    • Goal-setting process – how to correctly identify and set goals.
  3. Assessment of goals
    • Personnel attestation in the performance management system
    • Main performance assessment methods
    • Measurement methods for the results of the work
  4. Planning of competency development
    • Provision of oral feedback to a subordinate based on the results of appraisal events.
    • Discussion of the strengths of the subordinate and training requirements/learning needs.
    • Behavioral strategy in situations where the subordinate may demonstrate that he/she is unable to accept or resists feedback
    • Identification of priority competencies for development.
    • Elaboration of recommendations on how to develop competencies.
    • Compilation and agreement of development plans.

    Duration of the training course 1-2 days depending on chosen theme-based blocks according to client needs.
