Talent management
Talent reflects an individual’s outstanding abilities or unusual aptitude in any area inherent in the individual from birth or as a result of exercises developed to a high extent, which provides the individual with an opportunity to perform various activities as successfully as possible.
The talent of an organization relates to the ability of individuals at the organization to attain the most effective results in their positions and build successful careers.
Effective talent management means that the right people with the right skills are allocated to the correct positions at the right time. Or individuals who comply with the requirements and expectations of the company (the right people with the right skills) are allocated to the positions required by the company (the right positions that are important for the business) promptly (at the right time).
However, initially there is no such thing as the “right people” or the “right positions”. To be more accurate, they do exist, but the organization still hasn’t worked out where they are. A timely structured analysis to search, develop and manage talent will enable the organization to figure this out.
The talent management system includes the following components:
- attraction and selection
- career planning
- assessment
- replacement planning, succession planning
- organizational development
- performance management
- development of the team and individuals
- retention
